The Terror of Tiny Town [1938] - A midget western. Need I say more.

I first heard about this gem on Oh the Humanity Supposedly if you watch this, you're an official b-movie fan. I don't know, since this was the first b-movie I watched, but it's safe to say that you're in good standing if you've either heard of this or watched it once.

This movie is played as a straight western, no midget jokes nor pointing out that they just don't belong. All of the props save for the ponies are all full sized, so they walk under bar doors and wield guns bigger than their heads. I'm not sure who thought this was a good idea, but it was the 30's and people could pretty much do anything they wanted. continue reading...

Night of the Lepus [1981] - It's been done. A review of a giant rabbit movie. View at your own risk.

Well, this little gem of a movie was brought to my attention. It's about rabbits. Big rabbits. So how can you go wrong with that. It's very hard, but there's one thing you can't do. And that is take it too seriously. Given playing it straight came sometimes add to the campiness of the movie, this was so dead on serious, I'm really not sure what to think.

We start off with a news but about how rabbits are multiplying so fast they're killing off all the crops and generally just not being cute like they're supposed to. Then a horse is seen riding across the barren land and trips over a rabbit hole, thus breaking it's leg. The rider does what any kind soul would do, and kills it. So the rabbits must go. And what better person to do it than a guy who traps bats and hates chemicals. He pops on by and throws some rabbits in a barrel to be sent off for testing. His wife scientifically describes the process as "making jack a little more like jill, and jill a little more like jack". Freaky stuff they do in those labs. continue reading...

Miss Cleo - By popular request, I finally got this up. I present Miss Cleo, the cult figure.

Ahh, Miss Cleo. Who hasn't seen those psychic commercials where you can get your FREE tarot readin'. It wavers between making you want to call to figure out what they're saying, and realizing you'd be the laughing stock of your friends if they found out. So we choose the latter, and leave the truth untold. Well we here at goshzilla.com care about as much as you do, so no truths will be uncovered for now. continue reading...

Cannibal Ferox [1981] - Oh goodness. Good people meet bad people, but everyone gets eaten. Horray!

I don't know why I got this film. Maybe I just chickend out of Cannibal Holocaust; although I can't find it in a reasonable price range on eBay. I've kicked my eBay habit anyway. Having no money helps a bit, but the bidding wars get to be a pain to keep after. You have to be there at the instant the auction closes to guarentee getting it, or someone else will have plenty of time to snag it from you. But enough about eBay; I didn't even buy it via them anyway. This is some second generation at least, that I got for $4. It's on DVD now, but I don't think I care enough to spend money that I don't have on it. continue reading...

Peter Bark - Known somewhat for his role as a ten year old boy in Burial Ground, even though he was much older, he stole the movie by providing us with some of the most disturbing and odd scenes, that usually didn't (but sometimes did) involve gore.
